Miloner
Miloner is an educational app for teenagers' parents that is made for reduce the social and digital gap between them and
their children, as well as giving the parents tools to communicate with their children.
This app is an outcome of a long term process which me and my partner to the project, Shavit Lavi, studied the relationship
between parents and children in the digital age. The study included a research question, collecting research data,
ideation and prototype.
Research Question
How can we help teenagers' parents reduce their social and digital gap between them and their children, as well as improve
the parents communication with their children?
Research Stage
We have started our research by collecting research materials such as articles and reports describing different points of
views about relationships between teenagers and their parents and describing the risks of using the internet and social
media among teenagers and the importance of parents' guidance. Furthermore, we have observed teenagers' social medias
app like Tik Tok, Youtube and such, in order to get a better understanding of the teens' language and
ways of communication.
Following our research, we summarized important new knowledge about our project topic.
Product Stage
we have presented six suggestions for our final project format, such as:
Add-on for smartphones that would auto-correct parents during typing to teenagers digital language.
Youtube channel that would educate parents about teenagers apps, social media and slang.
Game cards that would give mutual exposure for both teenagers and their parents slangs and language.
A printed dictionary containing definitions of the teenagers language from digital media.
Newsletter for parents updated with all the new important information from teenagers world.
As before mentioned, we chose to design educational app for parents.
we have collected visual and content-related inspirations, and wrote a conceptual description of our prototype.
